Kid Rock Tickets – The Four R’s: Rap, Redneck, Rock and Roll
Kid Rock tickets have been popular with a particular audience that isn’t afraid when rap and metal converge at hillbilly. Throughout his popular career Kid Rock has embraced all of those seemingly contradictory themes that have made him one of the most popular musical entertainers in the past two decades. Southern rock, hip-hop, metal, and country are blended together in the cocktail shaker of musical culture that is Kid Rock- and a particularly in-your-face slice of American pie.
Kid Rock’s breakout success was the album titled Devil Without a Cause. At first this album was met with mixed reviews and lackluster sales, but after Kid Rocks videos began playing on MTV, the artist struck gold. “Bawitdaba” was, and is, largely considered Kid Rock’s claim to fame. The song combined rap and rock in a seamless and enjoyably fun party song, in a redneck kind of way. America was ready for somebody who could believably come to terms with, and justify the melding of such different musical cultures. Kid Rock was that person. Devil Without a Cause began selling like hot cakes after fans caught wind of Kid Rock’s unique style and attitude. When he went on tour with Metallica in ’99, Kid Rock tickets were some of the most popular in the concert tickets market.
As Kid Rock’s popularity grew, so to did his fan base and his critics. After Devil Without a Cause came The History of Rock, and Cocky, both of which were met with mixed reviews, but sold well nonetheless. Kid Rock went on to collaborate in other artists’ projects, such as Cheryl Crow’s “Picture,” a softer duet, which was a diversion from some of his earlier work. Rock’s celebrity status grew when he began dating and eventually was engaged to Pamela Anderson, the buxom star of the hit TV show Baywatch, and former husband of rocker Tommy Lee. They have since broken it off, however.
As the first decade of the 21st century comes to a close, fans of Kid Rock wonder where his musical ventures will turn to next. They are excited about any direction he takes, knowing that he will be sure to combine his own brash personality into a style of music that is as hard to define as it is enjoyable to listen to. If you like the songs “Cowboy,” “Bawitdaba,” and “Picture,” or if you are interested in seeing a really entertaining live show, Kid Rock tickets are the way to go.
