It’s not all about entertainment though; many designs and colour schemes just have a retro look and feel to them and offer something a little bit different in the world of t-shirt design. Whether it’s a 60’s screaming psychedelic look you’re after or a more sedate brown patterned 70’s number, there’s a wide range of designers and manufacturers tapping into the nostalgia. The explosion in popularity of retro fashion has taken mens t-shirts in particular down a much more diverse and appealing path then ever before.
So where does retro go from here? Well, the clothes that are considered to be retro today may well fade with time, (with the possible exception of the psychedelic) and those from this decade and future years will eventually become the ‘new’ retro as it were. Hanging on to your clothes from the present day could prove to be a good idea as in twenty or thirty years they just might be the next big thing. For as long as there is nostalgia mixed with the cyclic nature of the fashion industry, you’ve got the perfect recipe for retro to thrive for a long time to come.
