In my last article I spread the word a little about Vizumi, which for those who don�t know is a reputable UK film download site. In this piece I wanted to go a bit further and see how Vizumi works � to investigate it for users before moving on to compare Vizumi against the competition � Lovefilm, Blinkbox and the rest.

First of all � the homepage. You�ll see if you visit often that Vizumi tend to move the homepage titles around � so that they are regularly refreshed. While this works in the sense that they get to push titles that you might not otherwise hear about (eg. Fools Gold), it also means that you might not necessarily pick up at first glance the quantity of big films available to download here.

Let�s say for example you want to have a look at Batman. You have two options: first, you can type it in to the search box, and you�ll get a list of the relevant films. But let�s say, like me, you prefer to browse by category until something catches your eye, then the route to finding Batman is slightly less straightforward.

First step � select your category. I pick action, because I reckon that�s the right area. I then get the head of a list of nearly four hundred action movies available for download. This is both great and awkward. Great in the sense that you get to browse through other movies on your way to Batman which you might not otherwise have considered. Awkward in the sense that the list is not alphabetisable by letter category � meaning you can�t pick all movies beginning with �B�. Instead you have to trawl through the pages until you get to your film.
I found Batman on page 3 � not too bad � but if I�d been after Jarhead I would have had to navigate to page 13, and if I�d been really pedantic and wanted the Bourne film download I would have had to work my way through to page 25 (of a total of 37 at the time of writing). This is why we use the search facility. But Vizumi�s set-up is quite clever too in that it forces you to check out the prices and availability of other films if you decide to browse by category.

Next step then: the categories. This is where Vizumi really come into their own. Top of the column is a category called Screen Gems � full of things you thought you�d forgotten about � Diff�rent Strokes, Bewitched, Starsky and Hutch � admittedly mostly American shows, but classics nonetheless and if you�re a diehard fan, here�s the place to pick up your back catalogue.

Beyond this area, you have TV classics (not much in here unless you like Birds of a Feather or can be bothered to go back to Baywatch), then perhaps the next best area is Collections. In here a further subdivision takes you to various fun areas, like Haunting Horrors, where you�ll find all kinds of frightening nights� entertainment, At the Oscars, where you�ll rediscover some films that won gongs where plenty better failed, and Hot and Steamy, with a bizarre inclusion of Gaspar Noe�s conceptual masterpiece Irreversible, which should not be regarded as erotic, but which might escape notice in a more relevant category like Cult Favourites.

Finally, below the films by genre, which should be obvious and easy to follow according to taste, is one of Vizumi�s best attributes, which I commented on in the previous article. This is the part where you get to download films cheaply (for as little as 99p!). In here � well franklyt as you might expect for such a cheap price tag � is a fair amount of stuff you�ve never even heard of. But one that sticks out for me is the much overlooked Comedy duo � Priorite a gauche. Fun pretend-French satire. Tommy Cooper. And lots of kids� stuff � good material to download and take on holiday for rainy days when you can�t let them run around outside.

People have been asking me lately why have I been selling eBooks on my website and also why have I partnered up with iTunes and are now linked to the iTunes store. Some have even said I have sold out and I am no longer independent. This article is to address these points. Firstly, the idea of selling out is not the same as expanding my business. When it comes to being an artist it seems that the majority of acts/ bands are still being fooled by an old model of what music and in particular what selling music is all about. As the mercury award goes into another year we find story after story about record sales falling. A case in point is Estelle and her hit single American boy, despite the track being a hit on both sides of the Atlantic the album has not been selling so, as all record companies do these days, they panicked and have pulled the single from the US iTunes in the hope that people will turn their attention to the album if they are unable to download the single. Kid Rocks Album was not sold on iTunes and he sold a very respectable 1.7 million. So, I guess the companies are thinking ‘let’s follow the same path and make it impossible to get the music on the worlds biggest download site’. The fact that there is a policy iTunes have where you can not just sell full album which in a sense encourages people to just purchase the individual songs they like. As an artist I look at the album as one piece of work and would love it to be bought as a whole, however the musical landscape has changed and I believe if you don’t make what your fans want available to them then you are cutting your own throat.

In my opinion it’s about time the music industry died, or should I say old music industry because that is exactly what it is, the old music industry. In fact is it dead now? It seems that the lid is closing on the coffin of the industry. Its last dying breaths are being sustained by sales of easy listening, middle of the road music to house wives through supermarkets like the Asda and Tesco chains and in so doing making it easy to pick your copy of James blunt or James Morrison as they buy their weekly food shop and the latest trend of new artist that sound just like dead idols.

This is why for me it is essential to change with the times and try new ways of getting the music out there and if the means making partner ship with companies like iTunes, then why not? Unlike record companies the new digital arena is not going to sign you into a contract that robs you of your rights as an artist.

In a brave and visionary move prince recently gave away an entire album free as a supplement in a Sunday newspaper bypassing the usual distribution channels and also did a 21 night stint in London retaining the entire door takings. This is a very different approach to the industry which is, in a word genius. Prince is an example of an artist who is thinking outside of the box, when it comes to getting his music out to the public and he is a lesson to all musicians. Granted, he already has a worldwide fan base and has had major label success but the question should be asked: If prince was starting out on his career now would he feel the need to sign to a record contract?

Don’t get me wrong there are artists who have made millions out of the traditional music record deal. However, I have only met a couple of them and are they the norm? On the other hand I am in contact with countless people who currently have deals and most seem to be in the same position as me with a little less control over their output. Yes, the major companies can give you a wider exposure if they are 100% behind you and if you’re making them lots of cash then everyone is happy. But, what is it that records companies actually do? Basically they run two types of business. Firstly, they are similar to a bank or depending on your point of view a loan shark. They loan you money up front in return for the rights to your music so you have the ability to record your album. The artist then has to pay the loan back with massive interest. The second business that record companies are in is the business of distribution, shipping the music in boxes around the globe through powerful distribution channels. Both these areas are now losing money because the business models are outdated. Technology has given people the ability to record their album at reduced cost and the internet has made it possible to distribute music directly to the end user.

When Vinyl was king the companies had everything locked down, they owned it all and even when CDs took over the market the record companies still controlled the game. By having many many retailers in a fragmented market the labels were able to manipulate the market and control the value chain. Those days are gone; that’s why so many retailers and record companies were angered by what prince did when he distributed his album for free via a newspaper.

The internet is less than 5000 days old and in that time look at what has happened globally. Look at what has happened in all areas of media; music in particular has become almost valueless from the viewpoint of the record companies. Richard Branson, who had been in the music business for some 30 years, has recently off loaded his UK virgin stores and did the same in the US last year. For an entrepreneur to get out of high street music at this time should tell us all that there is no life left in high street music shops, well not for music at least.

This is exactly the reason why I am expanding to make eBooks available and linking with iTunes both of which if I wish to terminate at any time I can. In the same way a label could drop any artist at any time. All this because the power is now in the hands of the artist and will remain there as long as we understand that the playing field has changed or in the words of Dorothy for the wizard of oz “I don’t think were in Kansas anymore”.

The International Sa Pobla Jazz Festival also presents free jazz concerts in Palma during the two-week Alcudia Jazz Festival. The excitement of a new adventure is enough to provide an ample supply of positive motivation for the first several weeks of the instrumental music experience. Once the initial enthusiasm wears off, it is important to immediately develop wholesome practice habits which will guarantee a successful and personally gratifying process for your child. Your support and guidance will be the key factors in establishing the practice schedule insuring the attainment of musical goals.

For our first year elementary players, we like to see three days per week of home music practice – even if just a few minutes. The first year is “exploratory” and our goal is to instill a love for music. We encourage students to play at home for their parents. Practice is encouraged but not heavily stressed. Keep the instrument handy.

Children can get really attached to their instrument. It’s important for parents to leave the instrument out, rather than storing it away, so that the child can always have access to it.

Don’t make practice a chore.

In the first year of study, don’t force practice. Instead offer encouragement and show that you’re interested in how your son or daughter is doing. When you’re folding laundry or doing paperwork, for example, have your child perform a mini concert of songs he or she is learning.

Don’t expect flawless play from your young musician. The clearest indication that child is successful in music education is that he or she will show love and enthusiasm for the music.

Instrumental music means more to your child than just playing an instrument. It offers an opportunity to experience a whole new level of communication. This artistic language will be with them for a lifetime. These formative years of music education can open up a world of aesthetic possibilities which will bring new meaning to the growth and development of your child. Let us join hands in establishing a solid foundation of growth by creating a disciplined practice schedule at the onset of their instrumental music career.

Gypsy jazz guitar is a genre based on the music of Django Reinhardt, a guitar player who overcame a severe disability to become a legend in jazz music. Most people have heard music by the Quintet du Hot Club de France or one of the gypsy jazz groups devoted to its style of music. Born in the 1930’s this group with Stephane Grapelli on violin, Django Reinhardt, Joseph Reinhardt and Roger Chaput on guitars and Louis Vola on bass, pioneered the concept of lead and rhythm guitar.

The group played popular jazz tunes of the time with Django and Grapelli alternating on the lead with the two other guitars playing rhythm and Vola playing walking bass figures. A drummer was never in the mix. They also wrote their own tunes, many of which have themselves become standards. Some of the group’s compositions include blue Drag, Minor Swing, Djangology, Django Rag, Django’s Blues, Django’s Tiger and Nuages.

The group’s violinist, Stephane Grapelli continued making music until his death in 1997 but the figure that has proved to be the inspiration of many gypsy jazz groups, Django Reinhardt only lived to be forty-three years old. Gypsy jazz has been behind the popularity of the Maccaferri and Selmer style guitars. The guitar that Django Reinhardt made famous was made by the Selmer company in Paris based on a revolutionary guitar design by Mario Maccaferri, one of the first generation of classical guitar players. Surprisingly, Maccaferri was never familiar with Django Reinhardt’s music.

As with all music associated with the tag “gypsy” the music is usually passed on directly from one musician to another. The Quintet Du Hot Club came out of an environment where playing music was simply a part of life. Each musician was both student and teacher. And there were not too many note readers among them. In fact Stephane Grapelli, a classically trained musician used breaks in the groups playing schedule to tutor Django in music. So every guitar player wanting to learn to play gypsy jazz is faced with learning the music of Django Reinhardt, as played by Django Reinhardt.

One element that made Django’s music unique was the fact that, due to an injury in a fire, Django played the guitar using only the first and second fingers of his left hand. This limited the range of notes available to him as he worked his way up and down the fretboard was severely limited. As a result of his injury, barre chords are not found in gypsy jazz guitar music. A close look at Django’s music will tell you he had little use for sevenths in his music.

If you want to listen to some contemporary gypsy jazz guitar, American groups devoted to the genre are Pearl Django and the John Jorgenson Quintet but Europe is still the place where there is most interest in this music, with groups like Hot Club of Hungary and Hot Club of France. As rock and roll continued to take over the world in the nineteen seventies, the plectrum-wielding lead guitar player became fixed in the minds of music lovers. This style of guitar playing originated in the nineteen thirties with jazz guitar players like Eddie Lang and Django Reinhardt, and reached a wider audience through prominent guitarists like Charlie Christian, Les Paul and Hank Marvin.

It was inevitable that a generation of “lead guitarists” would be born from the rich musical tradition of bluegrass. In fact there were already famous flatpickers in bluegrass music with names like George Shuffler, Don Reno, and Bill Napier. During the nineteen sixties and nineteen seventies flatpicking guitar players like Clarence White, Tony Rice, Norman Blake, Larry Sparks, Charles Sawtelle, and Russ Barenberg rose to prominence.

To get some insight into the evolution of flatpicking guitar playing, it might help to look at how Doc Watson, whose guitar playing career began in the nineteen fifties, contributed to the use of flatpicking guitar in bluegrass music. It was simply that the band he was working with did not have a fiddle player and Doc was not able to become a good fiddle player himself. So because he enjoyed fiddle tunes, he simply learnt how to play them on the guitar.

Another astounding flatpicker is David Grier. The son of an accomplished banjo player, David was shown a few chords by his father and allowed to develop his love and talent for music naturally. As a result he never learnt to read guitar tab or conventional music notation.

And where did the first bluegrass guitar album come from? Dan Crary. Dan, if not the father of bluegrass guitar, is at least one of its uncles. Many bluegrass standards were recorded with the guitar for the first time by Dan Crary.

Now to get onto more technical stuff, let us look at what a flatpick is and how to use it. A flatpick is made of tortoiseshell, plastic or nylon. If you want to learn to be a flatpicking guitar soloist, you will need to learn to use a thick pick. If you are like most guitar players you will be using a light to medium weight pick. For flatpicking solos you will have a much greater control over your playing by getting used to using a heavier weight pick. The main advantage to flatpicking over fingerpicking is tone. A steel string acoustic guitar sounds much nicer using a flatpick compared to fingerpicks, and using nails is totally out of the question. You will also gain speed much quicker if you use a flatpick. Playing fast with right hand finger picking techniques takes alot of intense practice.

One question you are going to be confronted with as your flatpicking guitar technique develops is whether to play using your hand and forearm as one unit holding alot of tension in your wrist, or to play with your wrist relaxed. There are guitar players who swear by either of these ways of playing and some who use both. Generally speaking the advantage of having a stiff wrist is speed. A relaxed wrist does not take as readily to playing fast but many guitarists feel that it gives then greater control.

The thing you need to do if you are thinking about learning flatpicking is to widen your knowledge of the genre by listening to a range of guitar players. Jesse McReynolds, Clarence White and Tony Rice are a few flatpicker guitarists to look out for but I am sure you will find many more as you explore this wonderful musical genre yourself.

Rarely does one come across anything genuinely new in music. All the many genres have been mixed together and blended so much that originality often looks as if it has fallen by the wayside. This is not the case with Osaru on his debut album, Home.

His is a unique vocal style, a one-off musical vision and an out of the ordinary personal story. Unlike many of his musical peers, Osaru has spent years honing his talents before cutting a record, and the maturity shows.

Having learnt African percussion at the age of 8, church organ at 9 and subsequently discovering the joys of the keyboard and bass guitar, Osaru went on to play music in three separate continents. His inspirations coming from the worlds of soul, jazz, R&B, hip hop, reggae and even traditional African music. Only after such an extensive musical education, and while simultaneously working as a physician in North Carolina, has Osaru decided to share his gifts with the world.

Listening to the quality and diversity of Home, you will agree that it was certainly worth the wait. The album combines hip hop and R&B beats with jazzy instrumentation and even elements of classical music. This all comes together to form a whole that is satisfyingly head-nodding at first, but deeper and more interesting the more you listen.

There is something here for everyone, without the quality ever being compromised. From the dance floor inspired Start the Dancing to the slow, contemplative soul of the title track Home, Osaru is adept at supplying every musical need.

There is music for getting into the groove at the club, in the shape of I Know and Made Up My Mind, and there is also music for those quieter moments – The ‘Piano version’ of Pretty Lady and ‘24′ spring to mind here. However, most of all, this is music for lovers of great music who do not want to be constrained by the narrow boundaries of genre.

The best news is that this is only the beginning. Although Home has only just hit the shops, Osaru is already working on his next album, which he promises to deliver in the next Year. If it’s anything like this one, it can’t come soon enough.

He’s released five full-length albums so far, and each has been highly successful. His rise came in the early ‘90s, when he was attached to the booming house scene in England. With his voice all over the airwaves, Seal nabbed himself a contract for his self-titled debut album. He worked with Trevor Horn, who had produced such artists as the Buggles and Frankie Goes to Hollywood in the past. As Seal evolved his sound, he broke away from house, keeping elements of it but blending together rock, soul, and other genres of music into a uniquely stamped kind of style. What do music, chili peppers, bamboo, wine, watermelon, ice cream and Eeyore the donkey from Winnie the Pooh have in common?

They all have festivals devoted to them in Austin or nearby towns. In fact, there are so many festivals of all kinds in the Austin area that it is difficult to keep track of them. The Austin American-Statesman apparently gave up trying to keep count back in 2004, judging by a recent visit to the festivals page on their current website a quick count there reveals there were more than 50 festivals in existence then, and the compilers of the list noted that those were just some of the festivals.

Other festivals have appeared since then. The first-ever Pachanga Latino Music Festival, for instance, was held on May 31st of this year. The second annual Ice Cream Festival will take place on August 9.

Of course, everyone knows about the Austin City Limits Music Festival and the South by Southwest Conferences and Festivals. Those events feature what Austin has become known for around the world; great live music. Tens of thousands of music lovers flock to these events to see the international, national and regional acts that they showcase. These events bring in huge amounts of money to the Austin economy. In fact, SXSW is Austin’s highest money-making public event, as reported by Wikipedia.

There are many more music festivals in the Austin area as well. The Old Settler’s Reunion in nearby Driftwood, Texas attracts some of the premier national bluegrass and Americana acts, as well as many of the best regional Texas music groups and songwriters. This festival happens every April and attracts thousands of music fans to the beautiful grounds at the Salt Lick Pavilion and Camp Ben McCulloch.

The Reggae Festival, also in April, and the Austin Celtic Festival in November are just two more of the events held in Austin that feature music as their main raison d’etre. Of course, many other festivals include music in their programs as well. Some of these include Viva Cinco de Mayo in late April/early May, the Austin Fine Arts Festival, at the beginning of April, and the Old Pecan Street Fall Arts Festival in late September.

This latter event began more than 30 years ago to provide family friendly, free admission venue to collect arts and crafts from local and national artists and artisans, experience live music, theater plays, comedy, magic, poetry, film, parades, and take part of a long standing Austin tradition. More than 300,000 people attend this event every year, and festival promoters estimate it generates more than $43 million for the local economy.

Another long-standing, grass-roots festival is Eeyore’s Birthday Party which occurs every year in late April at Pease Park. According to Austin American-Statesman writer Anita Powell. The party has grown considerably since its inception in 1963 by a group of University of Texas students. The free-spirited celebration usually features Maypole dancing, costume contests, a hippie queen pageant, food, birthday cake and entertainment by local bands. This festival, perhaps more than any other, reflects the spirit that Austin is famous (or infamous) for and that inspired the unofficial slogan for the city: “keep Austin weird”.

What about bamboo, wine, watermelon and chili peppers? The Bamboo Festival is presented at Zilker Botanical Gardens in late August every year and features “all things bamboo”. There are at least two important wine festivals in the area: the Texas Hill Country Wine and Food Festival in early April and the Austin Wine Festival in late May. The Chili Pepper Fiesta is held in the town of Elgin, just east of Austin, on the second Saturday in September. The Luling Watermelon Thump in June garners national attention every year with its watermelon seed spitting contest.

All these festivals reflect what the city of Austin has been about through most of its history. It fosters and encourages creativity, diversity, freedom of expression and the celebration of the hard work and enterprise of its citizens.

I red few years ago an article that hip hop music alienate the youth from the society. I think this can not be true, because hip hop community is a society. It can be true that people can lose the sense of reality, when they are in touch with an art and they are living for that art and willing to do anything to keep that art authentic and preserve it from the vultures who are willing to destroy it and abuse it for their own wealth.

So far as the alienation consider, when it comes to the hip hop music no one can alienate me from this culture. I am an one man movement and although my budget is not large I still can contribute to the hip hop culture in other ways than buying albums daily. I think my mother thinks that hip hop is another name for having sex. She wonder why I call my blog hiphopfanatic.com. I feel quite alienated from the society there are no people who I can relate to. Only I can relate to are the rappers, because they are born into the dirt just like me. If you know hunger you will feel the struggle. And born into a racist society people judge you by the background and racial ethnicity can cost you lots of hair and health. I have been chasing a dream having a job and live like the working class people. This is not even possible, when the cocky white kids at your work call me a Ni**er in my face and gossip about me behind my back, gossiping is a habit that every society got to deal with, but throwing racial terms at your dome can hurt my soul. The bosses are looking for someone to do the dirty job. I am really a humble kid, that is my nature. I can not seems to take all the racial terms all the way long from the cocky Caucasians.

I feel like I’d rather be alienated than being a modern house slave for this society who thinks that I only deserve the minimum wage. In my case I know some people who gets alienated in the hip hop culture, since they have no friends. These kinds of people always needs someone around them to show them the way. I never had that kind of cousin or brothers to show me the way. That way I feel that I failed comparing the mediocre standers the majority set. I made lots of mistakes like skipping classes and even passing my math exams drunk. I never knew how to choose the right friends, if they were hip hop fans I was willing to hang out with them. Some kids I knew they only were after the money and their older cousin or brother were cooking for them and they ran studios from houses. I feel like these studio rappers were the alienated ones, they never come out hanging and getting drunk in public with the regular kids like us. They truly got the house slave mentality and they never felt how much stressful it gets and how it feels one of your friends throw him self front of the train. These studio gangstas only know happy times. They do not know what it is like to grow up with no family around you.

And then you have these upper class brothers talking black supremacy, while their label owner is white. They never talked to a kid from the ghetto and they do not have the spine to set up their own labels to make a start of their career. Once this reminds me of the song of Gravediggaz song ‘12 Jewels’. It said the “old man from Sudan didn’t knew the basic principles of the economy”. Being your own boss that is the major economical achievement is about. Working for the white man and calling your self black activists and pumping your fist is just lack of awareness and political consciousness. In this modern society rappers are almost doomed to sell their soul to the labels, when a rappers is hungry he will be easily convinced by the A&R’s and other record label people. I think the true potential of a socially, economically and politically aware artists does not where the money is running, but where the hearts of the hip hop fans are running. That is preserving of the hip hop culture as an authentic culture and reminding the fans what the true purpose of the hip hop culture is about, which is peace, love and unity. With these three keywords there is no alienation possible for the hip hop fans not even the majority alienates them.

No wonder the influence of 20th century guitar gods has sank in into the mindset of the generation of rock and roll way beyond the boundaries of music. Lots of bands and solo artists today have been inspired to be at par with their very own guitar hero with all their might. Most certainly amongst them, here are six guitar gods that challenge the determination of both professional and amateur guitarists to play good music for others to enjoy.

Sixth: Eddie Van Halen
Eddie Van Halen is the lead guitarist of the rock band named after him known as Van Halen. This guitar hero popularized the used of tapping in playing guitar. This is technique is done by literally tapping both left and right hands on the guitar neck. Although this technique has been done by blues guitarists before him, Van Halen was the one who made the technique iconic. During his guitar solos, Eddie Van Halen usually played with his back to the audience to hide his tapping technique.

Fifth: Dimebag Darrell
The world of heavy metal has just lost a guitar hero on December 8, 2004 when Pantera and Damageplan’s lead guitarist Dimebag Darrell was shot dead by a schizophrenic gunman while on stage with Damageplan. Dimebag is best known with his rapport with fans and was tagged as “one of the most influential stylists in modern metal.” Guitar magazines never fail to include Dimebag whenever they list top 10 metal guitarists. Besides being well-known in the metal scene, Dimebag used to perform with a country music band Rebel Meets Rebel.

Fourth: Kirk Hammett
Metallica’s lead guitarist and songwriter, Kirk Hammett is on our fourth spot but for Rolling Stones magazine, he is ranked 11th in their list of “The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.” Hammett had private lessons with another guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani and in 2002, became the first to receive the Guitar World magazine’s Hall of Fame award.

Third: The Great Kat
Katherine Thomas, more popularly known as The Great Kat is a Julliard-schooled guitarist and violinist famous for her thrash metal renditions of well-known classical pieces – from Beethoven to Mozart. She was listed in Guitar One magazine as one of the “Ten Fastest Shredder of All Time.”

Second: John Petrucci
John Petrucci is the founding member, co-producer and lyricist of the progressive metal band Dream Theater. He performs with Joe Satriani and Steve Vai in the G3 Tour. Noted as one of the world’s finest guitar players, Petrucci is well-known for his fast alternate picking that requires a lot of synchronization with both left and right hands.

First: Jimi Hendrix
Arguably the best and the most influential guitar player in the whole of rock music is Jimi Hendrix. His appearance in the iconic Woodstock Festival in 1969 can be considered as the greatest gig in the history of rock Hendrix style in creating music with electric distortions and effect was unique in his time that it became the turning point of newly evolved rock genres. His tragic death became rather controversial and is placed side by side with three other 60s rock icons: Janet Joplin and Jim Morrison.

Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock is the third installment in the Guitar Hero series of music video games developed by Neversoft. It was first released for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. Soon after, it was developed for Playstation 2 and then in 2007, was released in PC and Mac.

The game uses a guitar-shaped controller and the objective of the game is for you to simulate the rock band playing by playing in time with the notes flashing on the screen. There are different modes to play Guitar Hero 3. You can either choose the career mode and “Boss Battle” to play against the computer or a second player. Or you can also play it online with other gaming enthusists.

Guitar Hero 3 features 70 rock songs, most of which, were not featured in the previous installment. Aside from that, you can download additional tracks from the internet to satisfy both your gaming and music experience at the same time. Musicians such as Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machines and Audioslave, Slash of Guns N’ Roses and Velvet Revolver, and Brett Michaels of Poison. Guitar Hero 3 became the bestselling video game of 2007 both in units sold and revenue.

The Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock basically has the same gameplay as the previous versions. The main objective is to simulate a rock song by literally hitting the notes as they scroll on the screen simultaneously with the music to maintain the performance and gain points. To make the game more “realistic” using the guitar-shaped controller, you may need to strum the strum bar while holding the correct fret button. You can also play the game with a standard controller where you only need to press the right button to hit the notes.

What’s great with Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock that was not feature in the other version is the soundtrack, 53 of which are master recordings. With the career mode, you can have a guitar showdown with who else? Tom Morello, Slash, and Lou (The Devil). Both Slash and Morello wrote guitar pieces specifically for Guitar Hero 3. Talk about moral support from guitar legends.
