All About The Starcraft Mods

StarCraft is a military science fiction video game that came on the market in 1998 from Blizzard Entertainment. It has become one of the best-selling computer games with more than 9 million copies sold throughout the world. It is regarded as one of the best games of all times and raised the bar for the development of future video games. Based on the success of this game Starcraft mods have also been developed, by hackers who want to cash in on this success and make money on their own.

Many of the custom modifications you get when you purchase the StarCraft game use the same editor. However, with some of the newer games you have to make a few custom hacks changes to be able to get around the restrictions of the existing editor. Some of the mod creators even record their own sound effects and voices, but for the most part they still exhibit the same polished integrated structure as the original game. This is because it is relatively easy to break the balancing and produce artwork that fits in with the Blizzard creations.

There are custom mods for the StarCraft game that do have changes made in the programming. This gives these mods their own unique take on the game. Hackers that create these mods can adapt the StarCratft files and have different sounds and graphics. Some of the mods are even more intense than the original game providing for single players. Others have made extensive changes to the sound and graphics and even the action of the game itself.

There are many different mods of the StaraCraft game, some of which vary little from the original. They include:
- Aliens vs. Predator: Retribution TC - this is a German speaking version of the game with total conversion
- Brutkrieg.de’s TC pack - This German version of the game features a collection of homemade add-on packs and TC’s. They are bundled together and sold as one package.
- Gundam Century - This was originally called GundamCraft that replaced the StarCraft graphics with the manga mecha characters of Gundam and their robotic vehicles. The game also replaced two of the StarCraft races - Federation replaced Terrans and Neo Zion replaced Protoss. The site was shut down for a while, but is now live again. However production of new mods has not resumed.
- NeoTech - This mod features an upgrade to all the Terran forces with most of the units replaced by units that look more spectacular.
- Open Rebellion - This is a total conversion of the Brood War that very closely resembles the original version.
- Robotech: Enemy Frontier - This is a total conversion of the Robotech game of the 1980’s.
- StarCraft Sickel Add-On - This is a fan built extension kit for the Brood War game. It adds to the existing line of units and allows for the addition of new units. There are two new Terran tanks, a new Zerg unit and several capital classes of Protoss.
- StarCraft Team Fortress - This mod totally changes the game so that it is somewhat like the Half-Life Team Fortress.

Destination Club offers members all of the benefits of luxury living, in exquisite dream locations, around the world, at a fraction of the cost of (owning and maintaining). Members get access to beautifully appointed locations worldwide.

For those that can afford the one-time membership fee and annual membership dues, members have choice access to a slew of luxury vacation homes around the world, which can be booked based on availability and reservation requirements.

Private Residence Clubs provide the feel of luxury hotel living but also the partial ownership of a second home. Their offerings are generally smaller than destination club residences: 750 to 3,000 square foot villas.

Families or groups who require larger residences - three or more bedrooms of at least 2,000 sq ft and above will find that Destination clubs are especially well suited for their personal needs. They will, however need for their travel schedule to fit within the availability structure of the club.

With all that is said and done, however, there are some who are most likely not cut out for the average Destination club mentality. Those who prefer traveling at the last minute, individuals or lone couples — without children, grandchildren, or friends to invite — may not be able to justify the expense of a destination club.

With that in mind, they are generally better off with some other kind of vacation option.

It then all comes down to what each potential member’s needs are that determines if a Destination club membership is right for them.

The city is packed with architectural masterpieces that dot the city’s landscape. There are beautiful old buildings that meshed well with modern architectural designs. The people are lively, warm and friendly. There is so much that you can see in this metropolitan city. There are also a lot of things that you can do. You may be able to spare only a couple of days but you can still fully enjoy your stay at Dusseldorf.

Another great city in Germany is Bonn which is also found along the Rhine River. It was the capital city of Germany from 1949 up until 1990. It is the political centre of the country and has also developed as one of the main administrative and corporate cities in the country. It is the most densely populated city in Germany and has a thriving economic life.
Bonn like many Germany cities is filled with many old buildings that have survived two world wars and are hundreds of years old. It is a lovely place to see. As you travel around this city it is easy to get caught wondering what it was like living there hundreds of years ago.

It is also the birth place of one of the world’s greatest composers, Ludwig van Beethoven and also the home of a number of United Nations organizations.

Bonn’s inhabitants do enjoy their city and they can show you how to do the same. You are certainly to feel at home there and chances are you will not want to leave.

Motorcycle Road Trip To Alaska

Every road trip planner dreams of conquering the roads of Alaska. Here is an idea for an adventurous motorcycle road trip over the 49th state.

This road trip will certainly entice every motorcyclist all over the United States, no matter where they are coming from. The first town you will encounter from the Alaska Highway is Tok where you can camp or lodge in a comfortable hotel for a good night’s rest before continuing your excursion the following day.

Continue your motorcycle road trip through Alaska by making your way to Valdez. Take the Richardson Highway, Alaska’s first highway. If you are looking for something active, you can join a mountain bike tour around the park, or go rafting or kayaking. Or, if you want to try something new, go on a helicopter flight seeing and heli-hiking and enjoy jaw-dropping views of Anchorage and other parts of Alaska. Head north through Fairbanks from Denali National Parks, and then straight to the isolated tundra of the Arctic Circle, where you are to experience almost twenty four hours of daylight. There are lots of campgrounds in the area for those who choose to stay for the night.

The thousands of miles you conquer, the challenging twists and turns, the picturesque sceneries you pass by, and the extraordinary experiences you get to tell your friends and family back home will make this journey to Alaska all worth it. It is definitely one of the most memorable journeys in every road trip planner’s list.

Summer comes round, and with it your desire to go on holiday, usually quietly nagging away at you, suddenly reaches fever pitch. You start checking destinations, but can’t quite find the sort of price you’re looking for. Then it hits you – how about checking out the travel auctions?

Thankfully, finding the best travel auctions is not nearly as big a task, as searching for a ‘normal’ holiday online (which, let’s face it, can sometimes be exhausting in and of itself!) There are a few major players in the online travel auction world, and a few others you might not have thought of.

Starting Out

One of the first places that many people look to for picking up a cheap holiday in a travel auction is eBay. Yes, really, eBay! After all, people sell cars and even houses on eBay, so why not holidays? Once you’ve got your head around this, you can start to browse the prices. And a quick scan of eBay shows cruises, flights, packages and hotels, going for what would seem to be well below the asking price.

Luxurylink, meanwhile (possibly the English language market leader) is another place to go to for major travel auction savings. A six night package for two at the Grand Bay Hotel, Isla Navidad Resort in Manzanillo, Mexico recently went for $1,705. That still seems pretty pricey until you look at what sort of a place it actually is. For something that luxurious, you’d frankly expect to be paying closer to its original price tag of $3,400.

Different Language – Same Great Savings

The beauty of online travel, though, is that it’s truly global. And if variety’s the spice of life, it’s also the key to attractive prices! Interestingly for any budding linguists, there are some fantastic travel auctions to be had on foreign language sites.

French speakers can usually rely on Nouvelles-frontieres.com to come up with the right holiday at the right prices. But it’s the Spanish who really go for travel auctions (or subasta viajes as they call them) in a big way.

If you find out more or less what the market value of a holiday deal is, then you’re in a much better position to know how much you want to bid on it. Simple really.

So, to sum up: Are travel auctions good value for money? With savings occasionally up to – and sometimes even over 100% – I think you could say so!
