Learning Bartending With The Bartender Guide

Mixing drinks and coming up with new drink ideas can be an enjoyable hobby. Having a good bartender guide that will help give you new ideas and mixed drink recipes can be a very useful tool. Bartender guides are normally filled with numerous how-to guides and a variety of drink recipes that you can try and perfect at your leisure. You can be the life of your next house party when you mix up cocktails for your guests and show off your bartending talents.

There are many different bartending books available on the market. Some show how to mix a few cocktails and some that dive deep into how to mix many different varieties of exotic beverages. There are also a variety of guides available from individuals who have made up their own recipes and decided to market them.

Some may have drinks that you would have never thought of and others may contain variations on old favorites. The joy is in trying new things and possibly experimenting on your own cocktails. This can give you endless possibilities and allow for you to show off your bartending skills to your friends and family.

When you think of a bartender guide, you may only think of a list of mixed drink recipes that are popular today, but this is not the case. Other guides are available, some from specific bars themselves, which give information about what the bartender’s precise duties are.

Some guides list what should be done during opening and closing of the bar, a list to check off and give to the manager to reorder certain items when they need to be replenished or other business information about the tavern or pub. This is a specific type of guide and gives valuable information to the employees of the establishment so that they can learn to complete certain tasks correctly.

Whether you are happy with being an at-home bartender or you aspire to hit the hot night spots to show off your bartending skills, a bartender guide is a huge help. You can learn to make drinks that will delight your friends and will even give you a leg up if you do decide to attend a bartending school and make a go at being a bartender.

For those who like to dabble in bartending as a hobby, after adding a few more recipes to their drink list, they just might decide that this could be a new career in the making. If so, then you can take your skills to a whole new level and it might just be the beginning of a whole new future.

Which Coffee Maker Should You Buy

Which Coffee Maker Should You Buy?

Getting the best cup of coffee sometimes not as simple as it look. You need the best coffee beans/grounds you can get and also the best coffee maker. Finding the right coffee beans is simple, you just need to taste different types of them until you find the one yo like best. Of course this will differ from one person to another and the same thing about finding the right coffee maker. It all depends on your budget and also your personal lifestyle.

Simplicity

If you enjoy truly rich coffee taste there is no need to buy a super duper fancy coffee machine that will cost you hundreds and even thousands of dollars. A simple Frech press coffee machine will do just fine most of the time. This coffee machine is simply a glass jar equipped with a plunger. For some coffee enthusiasts this is considered the best coffee maker ever made…

To start brewing your cup of coffee all you got to do is place your preferred coffee grounds into the jar and then put some hot water in it. Boiling hot is better. Press the plunger and let it brew for a whole 4 minutes and voila you just get yourself the tastiest cup of coffee. For those of you who prefer strong coffee this coffee maker is the one for you since it produces a more concentrated coffee flavor. Best thing is the price won’t burn a hole in your pocket so you could use your savings to buy gourmet coffee beans instead.

Not Among The Average …

Another known type of coffee machine is the coffee drip machine. It is so commonly found in coffee pantries, kitchen, mini bar all around the globe people tend to think it’s the best kind. Actually it’s not the best but it does able to brew a good cup of coffee.

Not all drip machine models produce the same quality cup. Some more expensive ones allow you to set the temperature of hot water and how much of them to brew the coffee. However this type won’t be good for a long time if you need to continously serve cups of coffee. That is beause the machine keep carafe heated and thus affect the coffee flavor. No surprise that the last few cups coming from drip machine usually taste bad.

Indian style very similar Chinese chili chicken

Indian style chinese chili chicken in gravy, cooked with lots of onions and green chilies. Very tasty, very must eat to it. Just over a year ago Zack had his first Christmas Eve dinner with us and some of our friends here in Luna Pier. An hour prior, he called to ask, “Do I need to wear a suit? I’ve never been to one of these things!” And this-coming Easter Sunday after anchoring the 13abc morning news in Toledo (he doesn’t mind working the Christian holidays), Zack will join us with Mary’s brothers for Easter dinner.

I love Indo-Chinese dishes, it’s really tastes simply superb spiced up with Indian seasonings and Chinese cooking style. Last week when this here German Lutheran was holed up in a Catholic hospital, Mary found the book Cooking Jewish in the hospital’s gift shop and bought me a copy. I already love this book! There are some incredible recipes in here and while there are no photos of the completed dishes it’s not difficult to visuallize how they’d turn out. But what’s even more endearing about the book is the whole “family” aspect of the overall writing. The family tree is laid out, charts indicate which family member is related to which and how that happens (i.e., Fanny Vitner is Silvia Robbin’s mother), and a written history goes back over 100 years. Indian Chinese chili chicken is Stir fried boneless chicken in fiery curry or tossed dry.

Indian Chinese Fusion cooking is one of my favorite. White Chicken Chilli Recipes selected by the collective tastebuds of the masses from Group Recipes. Yesterday evening Mary made Hilda Robbins’ Cherry Chili Chicken from Cooking Jewish. When I handed him the dish from the photo at the beginning of this post he said, “I can’t eat this much before a game. I’ll throw up!” However the dish is so good he couldn’t help but eat it all as well as taking more with him. Calling after the game he said he didn’t feel nauseous at all, but instead felt he had the energy of a 12-year-old, scoring 15 points.

chili chicken dry is very similar to the chicken prepared by Chinese people living in India. This recipe makes a lot of food. The book says it serves 8 but take a closer look. There are two chickens 3 - 4 lbs each, each cut into eight pieces. The dishes are packed hygienically and delivered in fresh, hot condition. A few changes we made were to use golden raisins vs. dark raisins, granulated garlic instead of powdered, and a Chardonnay for the white wine. We also served it on a bed of buttered white rice. Gobi Manchurian is a Chinese recipe which is also very popular in India. The Gobi Manchurian is Mostly for Lunch, Dinner meals. Dry gobi manchurian can be made by omitting the gravy. Serve piping hot with toothpicks or miniforks and chilligarlic sauce or tomato sauce. Same procedure for veg. Manchurian (with gravy or dry), but instead of using only cauliflower, use finely chopped minced vegetables and bind with some cornflour or bread crumbs and make small lumps the size of a pingpong ball. Fry as above and proceed as above.

The ever popular “Manchurian” is an Indian Chinese dish. Gobi Manchurian can be made with Cauliflower or Cabbage. Dip the florettes in the batter one by one and deep fry in hot oil. Keep aside. In the remaining oil, add remaining ginger, garlic and crushed red chilli and fry for a minute. Add the salt and spring onions. Stir fry for a minute. Add 1 1/2 cups water and bring to a boil. Gradually add to the gravy and stir continuously till it resumes boiling. Boil till the gravy becomes transparent. Add florettes and soya sauce. Boil for two more minutes and remove. Serve hot with noodles or rice.

Gobi Manchurian though originally a chinese dish has been localized by Indian Resturants to satisfy the taste buds of those indians who long for something spicy along with cocktails or before a big meal. This dish can be served as an appetizer or a dry side dish itself. First pluck the flowerettes from the Cauliflower. You may cut them into bitesize pieces. Make a batter of Corn meal by adding water to 1 cup of corn meal. Add a little salt to taste and mix well to a thin paste. Dip the Gobi pieces in the batter completely and fry them until light brown. Spread them on a paper towel so that the extra oil soaks into the towel. Put the cut Garlic, Ginger and green chilies and fry them until they start to turn brown. Add two tablespoons of Sweet & Sour Sauce to this and start turning the mixture for about 2 minutes so as not to let it stick to the pan.

Gobi manchurian a popular Indo Chineese dish can be served as a snack or an appetizer when prepared dry. Now add the fried Gobi pieces to this mixture and depending upon the dryness of the mixture, you may add 2 more tablespoons of the sweet & sour sauce. You may also increase Garlic/Ginger pieces depending upon who your guests are. Depending on how dry/fluidy you like your Gobi Manchurian, you need to reduce/add the Sweet & Sour sauce. Very little Ajinamoto is to be added to give the Chinese aroma to your Gobi manchurian. Fusion cooking is one of my favorite. Please purchase online www.indomunch.com in NewYork city.
