Small Business Outsource Does it really work
Small Business Outsource – Does it really work?
Several months back, I looked into hiring a new employee to help support me in my small business. Like many small business owners, I was doing the marketing, bookkeeping, customer service – all the jobs in the company, and sometimes spend days on the small time-consuming tasks like data entry, finding information, duplicating content and so on. Well, I looked into hiring someone local. I wanted someone who had a university education, bright and has good work ethics. Thats what was needed for the work I needed done. I did not want to spend all day, everyday training someone to do what I could just do. Also, working from home, I would have to supply them with a computer, benefits and any support OR get a new office for the person. Well, this all seemed to be very costly and when I work the #s, it was. Now when I looked at the total cost at the end of the day, it was not worth hiring someone being a small business. Then I looked at small business outsourcing, where I can hire a full time dedicated worker for $897 a month. It worked out so great that I will share with you a few of the benefits of outsourcing that I have experience, this is with the company I use, it may vary with other companies and I have looked at many companies.
Publically Traded Company: This is a added bonus from a credibility perspective, you can find more information on the company and learn about the company you are dealing with. This was an attracting benefit that they have ties in the USA, so they are completely not distant from Americans and how we work.
Flexibility – Additional Staff: This was a great help. I came a point where I needed additional work done and I needed it done very fast. My payment system on my website was going to be closed and that would lose me thousands and thousands in sales; however the small business outsourcing company was quite helpful to bail me out in this win-win situation. The dedicated employees would love to work, overtime since they make more money in a place where is it hard to find high paying jobs and it only costs you $7 an hour, which is small for us, but huge to them. So I had 2 extra outsourced employees work for me for 30 hours over 3 days. My cost was $210 on it, but it got me through what would have been a huge mess.
American Managed Staff = Higher Quality: Brilliant!!! If you are like me when I started, well what about quality control? What about standards? When the dedicated representative I interviewed, they are interviewed by an American HR person to make sure they meet American business standards. They are overseen day in and day out by American management on site to keep up quality to our expectations.
On-site IT Person: This is my favourite benefit, since if you asked me to fix a computer problem, I would be there for hours and it may still not get done. My dedicated representative has an IT guy on site to help with any computer issues, adding software, changing hardware. Sometimes I am jealous since I would love to have my own that I can have here within a couple minutes right on site. Again this is included in the $897 I pay each month. Now imagine the cost of having that here, it would cost full amount week. Another great benefit included.
Health Benefits Included: The small business outsourcing call center is run like any other call center business, even through they have dedicated representative that works for you or your company and other representatives that work for other businesses under the same place, like a normal call center which includes competitive health benefits for your dedicated representative. This is included in the $5.17 an hour you pay for your dedicated employee and no additional charge to you.
Dedicated computer, high speed Internet, phone line and computer with latest software: my dedicated representative gets her own incoming/outgoing phone line with unlimited calls with American phone #. So even though my representative is sitting in the Philippines and I am in Toronto, she has a Colorado phone line. I have my companies 1-800 # go directly to her to answer any questions from customers. She also a pre-set up with her very own work station with a computers and latest software. If I request any reasonable software, they will work with me to have it put on her machine. Quite often your employee will have a better computer and software you have. Also has high-speed Internet as well.
Off Site Login: The small business outsourcing company sets up access to my dedicate representatives computer, therefore if I choose, I can see what they are doing at all times. This is great I training them (like any employee training is critical). Now with phone lines, email and sharing control of a computer, you can essentially train them as if they were next to you. Then as on going, you can always see what they are doing. This is another great benefit.
When I wrote this, all the benefits made this article 3 times longer, so I have shared a few of the benefits here, you can visit my site if you want to see more benefits to share with you. Here is a full list since I could not go through all in details, if you want a full list in details, contact me. Your worker gets Health Benefits at no additional charge, Computer, high speed Internet and latest Software, American Manager on sites for dedicated workers, Top priority, Privacy and Confidentiality, Trained in Writing and Reading English since Grade School, Having Pre-Qualified Candidates only, Dealing with a Publically Traded Company, Staff Are Flexible – Additional Staff if needed, High quality, Strong Work Ethics, Dedicated phone line with American phone #, On-Site Nurse support, On-Site IT support, Off Site Login to dedicated workers computer and much more. Now this is truly a win-win matter. I pay $897 a month for all these benefits (no additional charge except when I hire more hours), therefore I win. The dedicated employee is making good money in what is considered a good quality job she (or he) could have. The company, who managed all this, provides me with qualified candidates and my employee with health benefits, computer, desk, software, American management staff, phone, high speed internet and onsite tech guy and nurse is winning by helping me and the dedicated employee. Outsourcing is not only for big business, it is for business of any size including a 1 person business like mine.
